Listening to the messages your body sends you makes a lot of sense, after all, you want to be mindful of your health. Has that concern turned into something more? Are you finding yourself stuck in cycles of scanning your body for symptoms, searching online for answers, or bracing for bad news. No matter how much reassurance you get, the fear keeps coming back. It’s exhausting. Sometimes that fear comes from lived experience, like an accident, a diagnosis, or a medical emergency that left a mark. Other times, it seems to appear out of nowhere. Either way, the impact is real. Your thoughts race, your body stays on high alert, and sleep becomes harder to come by. You may have even ended up in the ER, certain something was seriously wrong. Afterward, you might feel embarrassed or frustrated, wondering why it’s so hard to feel calm again.
It’s not “just in your head.” The fear is real. The symptoms are real. And the toll it takes on your life is just as real. Health anxiety, panic, and trauma responses can leave you feeling disconnected and unsafe in your own body. You may feel stuck in a loop of checking, doubting, and fearing the worst, even when all signs point to safety.
Therapy can help. Together, we can work to understand where the fear comes from, quiet the self-doubt, and build a new relationship with your body and mind. You have strengths that haven’t stopped working for you, even in the middle of all the fear. We can build on those to help you feel more grounded, more capable, and more at peace.
You deserve a life that feels meaningful and free. If you're ready to take a step forward, I invite you to reach out for a free 15-minute consultation.
Burnout. High turnover. Harassment. Constant frustration. Maybe made worse by anxiety, depression, or something harder to name. Have those feelings been there for a while, just under the surface? In this work, it is easy to put yourself last. You keep going. You tell yourself you will deal with it later. You focus on getting the job done. And when you do try to talk about it, friends and family often just don’t get it..
In my time as a social worker in a busy Emergency Department, I have worked alongside people doing their best to hold everything together in the middle of crisis. The pace is intense. The pressure is real. And over time, it can start to affect the way you think, relate, and feel.
Therapy can be a space to pause and check in with yourself. To sort through what has built up and consider what might actually help. You do not have to be at a breaking point to ask for support. I offer a calm, steady space where we can look at what you have been carrying and work together to find a way forward in the direction of the more fulfilling, enriching life you see for yourself.
